Xerox Press
Objective

High-speed flexo press that can be built for narrow or wide web. Available in 13 web widths (270mm to 1800mm). Three servo-drive options. Solid 50mm cast-iron side frames with solid cross members. Customisable add-on features to produce complex labels, specialised film work with security features, and folding carton products.
PPL Slitter & Inspection Rewinder
Objective
Add reliable flexo printing and slitting/rewinding capacity that produces quality work with minimal maintenance, then expand finishing capacity as demand grew (a second SR330 slitter rewinder was later ordered).

Slitting and inspection rewinding machine in 370mm, 480mm and 530mm max web widths. Unwind with 3in air shaft; 2 ultrasonic web guides for opaque and transparent material; integrated festoon that moves the web forward and back for inspection, detection and editing; inspection table; slitting unit with 8 scissor knives; dual rewind for running very narrow reels in tandem; 4 servo motors with PLC control and touch-screen HMI.

370mm model: slitting speed up to 220 m/min; 350mm effective detection width; 700mm max unwind and rewind diameter (600mm on dual rewind); 15mm minimum slitting width; 8kW total power; 1,800kg.
MCC Semi-Automatic Core Cutter
Objective
Cut cores to size in-house quickly and accurately with minimal operator input, across different core diameters, wall thicknesses and materials, to support label/packaging production.

Semi-automatic core cutter with colour HMI touch screen; automatic adjustment to selected core size and wall thickness; cuts one size or variable sizes along one core; motorised core transfer on a linear track; automatic micro-cutting adjustment; fault finding and correction system; easy blade change; nylon or steel anvil; mm or inch operation; single- or 3-phase motors; CE certified. EasyCut 3100 version cuts double the length of a standard cutter.

Lothian Offline Digital Finisher
Objective
Find a robust, reliable and easy-to-operate offline converting machine that delivers consistent output with minimal downtime and gives flexibility across a range of converting applications.

Offline converting line for adding features to pre-printed reels. Unwind for reels up to 800mm dia on 76mm air shafts; electronic web guide; servo registered infeed; full and semi-rotary servo flexo station with water-chilled impression cylinder (print, coat and spot varnish in register); optional UV and IR/hot-air drying; servo hot foil and embossing unit with multi-colour foil in one pass; servo flat die-cutting; slitting with 8 rotary knives; snowball waste rewind; dual independent product rewind. Custom options available.
Innova Flexo Press
Objective
Produce exceptional-quality prints with a well-built, trouble-free press and finishing line (slitting/counting), then expand into producing blank labels with an added die-cutting slitter rewinder.

“Just new in the printing industry, we wanted a press that was versatile for not having any particular print area to focus at the time. We settled to the Comet RS 340 with the Apollo SR330; a Slitter Rewinder / Counting Machine for finishing.
These converting machinery have excellent build with the Comet RS 340 capable of producing prints of exceptional quality with the right aniloxes and have practically been trouble free since purchasing and installing them in 2014.
Bearing this in mind and our impression of the duo, we recently took delivery of another Apollo Slitter Rewinder; the Apollo SRD 330 with a die-cutting unit that can be used to produce blank labels. This machine is been test run as at the time of writing and we are not at all disappointed. This machine has a sturdy design and build and is performing up to our expectation”

Narrow web flexo press for labels, special packaging materials and folding cartons, in 270mm, 340mm, 430mm and 530mm web widths. Rail system for adding converting modules; slide-out ink tray cassette with tool-less changeover of anilox, metering roll and print cylinders; up to 12 print stations; 1 to 4 die-cutting stations, sheeting, lamination, numbering, cold and hot foil, web video monitoring and inline personalisation available.

Performance
Closed-loop tension control, variable infeed and automatic tension control ensure perfect print register. Register can be adjusted linearly and laterally while running. Ink tray runs water-based, solvent and UV inks while maintaining good print speeds. Oversized anilox roller for better print quality. Very fast make-ready.
